Eric is the Vice President at Tata Communications’ mobility and IoT business, heading up its pioneering Indian IoT network. This network is Eric’s brainchild. It will be the world’s largest LoRaWAN™ network, spanning 2,000 communities and 38 cities in India, connecting devices, applications and platforms, with the aim of creating an end-to-end connected ecosystem to enable better and affordable management of essential utilities, pave the way for smart cities, and empower economies to run more efficiently, securely and productively.
Eric developed the idea for this network as part of Tata Communications’ innovation contest Shape the Future. The programme has been responsible for internally crowdsourcing around 600 business ideas with the potential to become $200m businesses within 10 years. Prior to Tata Communications, Eric led business development positions at AT&T and IBM.
